“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care."- President Theodore Roosevelt.

My name is Noel Escamilla and I am honored and privileged to be your Assistant Principal for

the upcoming school year. My dad’s name was also Noel, so to avoid confusion, I was

nicknamed Noe (No-E) and that name has stuck with me all my life. I also go by the name Noe

to avoid having holiday songs sung during the winter months, especially since I’m not the first

Noel. I typically ask students to call me Mr. E. or Mr. Escamilla.

I was born and raised in south Texas and have lived in Dekalb County with my family since June

of 2007. I currently live in Sycamore, IL with my wife Bethany and my four boys Ezequiel who is

24 (bonus kid and story for another time), Elijah 14, Aaron 11, and Asher 3 years old.

My background in education started a little over ten years ago at Kishwaukee Education

Consortium where I worked in the alternative education program that served 6th through 12th

grade students throughout Dekalb County. I then moved on to becoming an ELL instructor at

Sycamore School District in two of their elementary schools. I am currently finishing my second

year as the Dean of Students at Kaneland High School where. I found my love for helping staff

and students come together to create strong positive relationships, while also guiding teachers

with innovative ways to show students their true potential.

I am excited to get the opportunity to get to know you, and grow together to give Marengo

Community Middle School students the best educational experience.
