Maggie Spring, President of the Marengo Area Schools Education Foundation presented Superintendent Damisch with a donation to District 165 in the amount of $17,472.81. M.A.S.E.F. is a private non-profit corporation founded and run by private citizens. It's sole purpose is to promote and manage monetary donations for the schools in the Marengo community. Thank you M.A.S.E.F. for the generous donation, the money will be used for additional surveillance equipment in the district buildings.

Absences
In-Person and Remote-In Parents/Guardians:
Please remember to report your student’s absence from school by calling the middle school office by 8:00 A.M. at 815-281-5026. If you are calling before school hours, please leave a message with the student first and last name and the reason why they are absent.

Remote-In to In-Person (or vice versa)
Parents who wish to change their student’s learning platform at the quarter will need to let the district know by Friday, December 4, 2020. Please send an email to kburns@marengo165.org and request the change whether it be switching to in-person or to remote-in learning. For those that choose to switch to in-person, schedules and busing information will be mailed on Monday, January 4th. The 3rd quarter will begin on Monday, January 11, 2021

Board of Education April Election - 4 Seats There are 4 school board member seats that will be coming up on the April ballot. Qualifications include but are not limited to: United States Citizen, Resident of the State of Illinois and of the School District for at least one year preceding election, at least 18 years of age, can not be employed by the district. Safety Concern - Please remind your child (ren) if they are walking home after school, not to cross Route 20 by the school. Students should cross Prospect Street with the crossing guard (by Washington Street), walk up to Route 20 and cross at Locust Street where there is another crossing guard.
